MJS.ART Dot Grid Square .125" v3 - Drawing Stencil
MJS.ART Dot Grid Square .125" v3 - Drawing Stencil
I like dot grids but I want to be able to erase any visible/unused dot from the final artwork, so I created this dot grid stencil.
The stencil holes are approximately 0.0546875" in diameter, .125" apart in rows and columns, and purposefully designed to only fit pencil and pen tips. Pencils I use and recommend are the Pentel P203 0.3mm and P205 0.5mm. The pen I use and recommend is the Pentel Slicci 0.25MM.
The “top” is the smooth side though you can use it either way based on which feels better to you when you use it. With the smooth side up, the intentionally rough 3D-printed bottom surface tends to grip the paper, helping to keep the stencil in place while you add your dots.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
I 3D print these stencils using an FDM 3D printer. FDM is a process that melts and extrudes plastic layer on top of layer to form a 3D object. This process results in visible layer and pattern lines. Because of this, my stencils are not as smooth, or as polished, or as professional looking as commercially manufactured products.
MJS.ART 3D printed stencils are not guaranteed to be dimensionally accurate in shape or in size. This works for me and my art, but might not work for you.
